Photos: Foghat at the Illinois State Fair Grandstand

Foghat ("Slow Ride", "I Just Want to Make Love to You") kicked off ten days of shows at the Grandstand inside the Illinois State Fair last night. Playing in front of a stormy sky, the crowd loved their songs, new and old. This was our first time on the track at the State Fair, and the venue seems like a great place to see a show.

The show was free and a great way to kick off the fair. The celebrations in Springfield for these couple weeks are not to be missed; the State Fair is sure to provide a unique experience for everyone who attends. After the show we stopped by a few corn dog stands to try a couple different items and (of course) grabbed some lemon shake ups. Overall, it was a good night headlined by a great classic band.
