Take the Pulse is a Proud Supporter of March for Our Lives

It’s been a little more than a month since the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida; this Saturday, the world rallies for change.

Shortly after the massacre, Cameron Kasky and other students of Stoneman Douglas High School established Never Again MSD. A campaign lead solely by students, Never Again MSD was created to advocate for gun reform and to help prevent gun violence. This campaign has drawn support from celebrities like George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey, to grass-roots gun regulation organizations like Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action. Students from Stoneman Douglas High School have partnered with Everytown for Gun Safety to organize a march for gun reform that will take place this Saturday in Washington D.C. and in many cities coast to coast - Peoria is one of those cities.

This Saturday, March 24th, a rally will be held in association with March For Our Lives at Marshall Plaza under the Gateway Building located at 200 NE Water Street in Peoria. The rally will begin at 2:00PM and will feature multiple local speakers that will approach the issue of gun violence from personal experience and discuss what steps we can take to prevent gun violence on a local and national level.

Please join us this Saturday in supporting March For Our Lives and the collective goal of ensuring a safer future not only for ourselves, but for future generations.
